بدايته في التمثيل
لقد كان معروفا عن هذه الفرقه بأنها فرقه تتميز بالحركات البهلاونيه الخطره وكان جاكي هو وبعد أن كبر أعضاء هذه الفرقه توجه كل في طريقه، سامو هانج كان قد وقع عقد تمثيل لشركة (جولد فيست) وقد قدم جاكي للمسؤولين وقام بإداء بعض الحركات البهلاونيه أمام وكانت تلك الحركات هي حركات ممثل الكنفو الراحل بروسلي. دربه بروسلي بنفسه! وقد تدرب على الراب من قبل !(ميمو)!
وقد سمع به أحد صناع السينما هناك وكان يدعى "ويلي شان" واراد مقابلة جاكي وبالفعل تم اللقاء وكانت نتيجته هو أن يقدم جاكي مجموعة من الأفلام السابقه لبروسلي إلا أن هذه الفكره لم تنجح على الإطلاق..ويرجح النقاد بأن سبب فشل أفلامه هو أن ستايل بروسلي يختلف كليا عن ستايل جاكي. لكن جاكي لم يستسلم وحاول أن يطرق باب هوليود عدة مراد عن طريق مجموعه من الأدوار الصغيرة التي أداها أمام مشاهير هوليود إلا أن انه تم مجاهلته كليا.
ويبدو أن سنة 1978 هي السنه التي شهدت أنطلاقة جاكي إلى العالميه حيث مثل في فليم الكنفو الكوميدي "Half A Loaf Of Kung Fu and Snakes in the Eagle's Shadow "
ومن هنا استمد جاكي طريقته الخاصه به في التمثيل ليمثل فيما بعد في " The Drunken Master " الذي لقى النجاح بشكل رائع..وفي مطلع الثمانيات من القرن الماضي افلام مشاهدة مباشرة (http://cima4u.com/) التحق جاكي شان رسميا إلى شركة (جولد فيست) وأصبح " ويلي شان " هو مدير أعماله ومن توالت النجاحات فقد العديد من الأفلام التي لاقت شهره عالميه..نذكر منها Project A, My Lucky Star, Dragons Forever, Heart Of The Dragon and Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Star وتواصلت نجاحات جاكي إلى ان وصل حتى منتصف التسعينات حين أراد ان يعاود الكره ويطرق أبواب هوليود من جديد.. ويبدو بأن الحظ هذه المره ابتسم لجاكي شان فقد مثل في فيلم " Mr.Nice Guy " المعروف وتوالت النجاحات حتى رشح لدور البطوله في فليم "Rush Hour" بجانب " كرس تاكر " ولاقى هذا الفليم نجاحا غير متوقعا وحقق اربحاً عاليه في شباك التذاكر الأمريكيه.. وبعد ذلك قدم لنا فليم " Shanghai Noon " مع " اوين ويلسون " وبهذا استطاع جاكي أن يحكم قبضته على افلام الحركه الكوميديه أو افلام الكونج فو الكوميديه. واخر افلامه هو ذا سباي نكست دور
